Having grown up in Wapato, raised by educators who committed their careers to Wapato and Zillah School Districts, with family in Moxee, Terrace Heights, and Selah, it’s easy to see why I feel at home throughout the greater Yakima Valley. I’m well-versed and have extensive experience with each and every location within the entire Yakima Valley.
Following high school, I went to college in Bellingham, where I obtained a degree in the legal field. I worked for many years for the Kirkland Prosecutor’s Office before going on a 19 year hiatus to raise my family. After 30 years in the greater Seattle area, I moved back to the place I will always call home, the Yakima Valley, settling in Selah. I went back to work in the legal field, most recently working as a Medical Malpractice Litigation Defense Paralegal for a wonderful firm right here in Yakima.
Why the change in careers? I have always had a strong passion toward real estate development, home design, and home decor, in addition to helping people no matter the need, giving them the most positive experience possible. The legal field fulfilled my passion for legal formats and practices, but I was missing something important…. the ability to connect with my clients more directly, aiding them in one of the most exciting and important decisions of their lives, an experience that should be an incredibly positive one. I have a strong passion for working with people from any walk of life (it’s the Wapato girl in me!) and bringing them the most positive experience, coupled with obtaining the most optimal results possible. Along the way, my favorite part of it all, are the friendships that develop between my clients and I!
In my down time, I’m surrounded by my Tibetan Spaniel, Great Dane, Border Collie, and Chesapeake Chocolate Lab who are constantly under foot! I enjoy traveling anywhere and experiencing all the beautiful intricacies of different cultures, having traveled to numerous countries throughout the world. At home, I enjoy working in my yard and doing home improvement projects. So much satisfaction in seeing the improvement and beauty that comes from all of the hard work around our home. Anyone who knows me though, knows my love of swimming and all water activities. My most peaceful times are those spent maintaining our pool.
As for our incredible Yakima Valley, in my opinion, there is no place greater, more diverse, rich in culture, with the most welcoming people in the world. After 30 years away from here, and having traveled the world, I know that now more than ever!
